We are replacing our electrical water heater and was told we needed to upgrade our wiring to accommodate the new water heater. Any recommendations for an electrician that can do the job? Thanks in advance!

Who told you that?
Most tank water heaters need a 30 Amp 240 V circuit. So would seriously question the teller unless you are converting from gas to electric.
One other caveat: If you are going to a tankless on-demand system. In that case, the units can require anywhere from 40 to 100 Amps.
Exact Electric. Highly rated on Angieslist. Did great work for me. Kemly Electric gets good reviews on this board.
We used Bowie Electric (used to be on Market) on our circuit breaker panel upgrade + 4 new circuits in 2004. They were very fair. Showed up when they promised. Finished early. Charged for actual time on site rather than the amount on the estimate (good for us). Filed proper permits for work.
