Community for Youth transforms high school students who are struggling with school, family, and their direction into confident and accountable young adults. Our program focuses on building a community support system and teaching students personal accountability and other necessary attributes. Students are paired one-on-one with mentors, as well as integrated into small groups, and whole community groups to get support and feel included in all aspects of the program.
As a result of our program, an overwhelming majority of our students graduate from high school and many continue on to college. Students in our program show improved grades and accountability.
We are now recruiting mentors for the 2012-2013 school year! We especially need men! Mentors are asked to commit Thursday evenings from 6-9pm for one school year to make friends, support their student, and discover a new community.
Make a difference and be a mentor!
