Walked by there today and there was a sign on the door saying due to the economy they are closing that location.

I think it is due to the fact they gave terrible service. One time we ordered delivery they said 45 minutes and it took almost 2 hours. When I called about i they said they were really busy. Well then why didn't they tell me that when I ordered. Maybe they need to get a delivery guy with a car?

Another time they went to the wrong building, and instead of calling me they went back to the restaurant and I had to call them to see what was taking so long. After that we were done.

Pho was the new thai, not the other way around.

    Actually, that is incorrect, NW.

The very first encounter with Vietnamese cuisine was 'pho' for many Americans.

I was made aware of this as I invited several co-workers for dinner. One of my favorite co-workers found my selection to be insulting. I didn't know, he was a special forces hero in a former life, a POW for too long, 'pho' was his one daily meal.

I took him for steak the very next night. I was ignorant, and was forgiven.

I did find it a bit profound that we eagerly line up for POW soup, one of my favorites, fwiw, but it is certainly not new. At least we don't need to captures rats to provide protein for our 'pho'.

Anyway, maybe my point is lost, but, you are forgiven.

that's like saying Thai food is not new to Thailand.

That's like admitting your 'tea' isn't from China. Good for you.

Thai and teriyaki were popular long before pho ever was. But feel free to piss off.

    Popular?

I see, history reinvented based upon popularity. Got it.

Actually, that is also incorrect NW. I took some friends to eat teriyaki. My treat. Little did I know that one of them was a sumo wrestler who ate 20,000 calories of teriyaki for his one daily meal. The bill cost me $200. Also, watching him eat made everyone in our group nauseous. My point might be lost, but you are forgiven.

I used to love Snoose Junction. My kid and I would play pinball in the back and eat pizza. Very fond memories there.

Rabbits and Cats? Once upon time as younger man, Boris was at banquet hosted by Stalin. Dinner was rabbit, but rabbit was not dead you know fresh. Stalin picked up rabbit killed to punctuate speech and make point, only he look down to see he killed pet cat instead and rabbits were still alive. Stalin cry like baby, saved the rabbits and sent half of dinner guests to death, the other half to bed without dinner.

Apparently, only the Ballard location of Snoose Junction closed. The Greenwood location (corner of Holman and Greenwood Ave) closed down for a few days for "reorganization and spring cleaning" and has now re-opened. Sounds like they are taking over the delivery area of the former Ballard location as well. At least that's what the automated message said when I called their number to order pizza a couple of nights ago.

I always got my food super fast from that place. I think that is mostly because I am a hipster, and they tend to treat non-hipster types badly there. We gave each other the look and then i watched while I got my food like before six people in front of me. Nerds need not apply for food from this place.
