Don’t miss the largest gathering of Art Cars in the Northwest. Over 75 decorated cars are on display in the Burke Building Parking lot on the Rocket Block.

Seattle Art Cars is a loosely knit group of “cartists” best known for organizing the annual Seattle Art Car Blowout (SACBO). Forming in 1998 to participate in ‘Arts Edge’ at the Seattle Center, Seattle Art Cars gathered 28 artists together to display their Art Cars. The following year, they became part of the annual Fremont Fair, where up to 75 decorated cars are on view as part of the Seattle Art Car Blowout.

  4. 35 & Evanston. Thanks. Their site should have the location, but does not. If you don't know the rocket site, you don't belong there??

Perhaps not quite as obvious to newcomers as the Lenin statue, but it at least used to be a major landmark of the "old" Fremont. Sometimes a fresh set of eyes on these announcements is needed to point out the obvious, though!
It would be fun for MyBallard to have a "do you know where this is" photo page for landmarks of Ballard and the surrounding area.

I think that's a great idea too. It would probably just wind up clogged with a bunch of Debbie Downers hissing about how unenlightened it is, or some other cr*p.
