Next week I have my favorite campsite booked on San Juan Island from Mon 7-16 to Sunday 7-22, but I can only stay until the 20th (or 21st) and the extra days cannot be canceled. I'm looking for someone to take over the site on Friday and/or Saturday. That weekend is also the Summer Arts Fair & Lavender Festival in Friday Harbor, a 15 minute drive from the campsite. The site costs $45 per night, 1 vehicle included (2nd for additional charge). I'm asking $75 for Fri & Sat nights, or $35 for just Sat. Need a firm commitment, logistics worked out and cash by this coming Monday a.m., as I'll be offline by Monday night. email: sprika at msn dot com
San Juan County Park is just north of Lime Kiln State Park (aka whale watch park). Site 18 is one of the most popular sites in the county park system, and very difficult to book in the summer. The site has easy beach access and is very private/secluded from the rest of the campground (see 2nd link w/ map). Excellent, uncrowded spot for whale watching from land (or in your kayak).
