Oldguy - have you checked your armpits? (Sorry - had to go there) If you have Wednesday normal day for pickup, supposedly they will pick it up. It's getting pretty gross out there.

oldguybc - so I am just 10 years younger that you, I was 65 on Saturday, and I do not feel old! I just rode a round trip 32 miles to a CBC event today and feel great.
I am convinced that age is all in your mind!
If you have the time Google Mimi Kirk. She is a 71 yo woman that is amazing.

    Happy BDay, VB!

I admit, I thought this thread was going to be some kind of takeoff of the Beastie Boys song, so I'm clearly not hipster enough.

VB, one of my favorite things ever was a bike ride I did in Calif. I was just doing a training ride on my own (road bike) and heard knobby tires coming up fast behind me. This guy went to pass me but we started talking. He was on a mtn bike and he was really kicking my butt, which is shameful. It was his 70th birthday. To celebrate, he was riding 70 miles and was then going to go home and drink champagne with his wife. I thought "wow, that is the person I want to be".

    Here's another one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madonna_Buder

    Happy birthday :)

VB, my problem is i THINK I'm a lot younger, play 18 holes of golf around twice a week, or used to, that is, before I (drum roll...) fell off my bike and tore my other rotator cuff (the good one) a couple of months back. No surgery on this one, am doing the daily rehab and got back up on my bicycle two weeks back. This is what kept me down here at least thru late Sept or Oct, really wanted to meet and re- meet all of you this summer but looks like it'll be then & not now... bummer!
Am not slowing down, need to keep up with my grandchildren, that is a daunting task...
Will begin swinging a club next week and probably start playing in mid August, screw the doctors, what do they know?

oldguy, back when we met, I looked at your face and detected intelligence, drive, integrity, superior morals, excellent family values and mediocre to low skills as a putter.

All of which inclined me to believe you eventually would veer off showing up out of state here in time for a well deserved roasting.

    Am I wrong?

    Spot on, iPlod...
I believe, however, putting is overrated...
Remember the old adage "you drive for show and putt for dough"?
I still have my driver's license.
    I am not a baker.
What need have I for funny big white pouffy hats and Pings...
Love that Ballard rain, see you in October/

Wherever we go this time you can be sure that:
1- it WILL be somewhere that Dave and VB can easily peddle to or be carried from.
2- it will be sometime that teigyr and all UK ladies can schedule.
3- it will have enough ambience to entice GiGi, any Nora, Gracie, and any of the wonderful MB ladies to attend with promises of all kinds of free booze.
4- the first round will be on me, naturally.
5- it may be even enough to encourage any Wonders or Guidos to make an appearance.
