I don't hear drunken hipsters, but now that my bedroom is nice and cold I have one heckuva case of insomnia. Probably because I was inactive today due to not breathing so well and my neck is annoyingly sore. Also while my body is busy not sleeping, my brain won't shaddap. Time for some star trek reruns i guess. Even the English guy is busy with something today and not around to bug. :)

I figure a couple more hours and I'll call it a new day. I still have some more computer rehabbing I can do here. I just can't rest. I suspect the prednisone I took early this afternoon may be playing a role in my very awakeness.

Yep, another hour and it will be a new day. I'm threading my loom tonight. It is kind of like computer rehab - detailed precise work.

My son (he is on a four month bike trip through Europe/North Africa) just checked in after being out of contact for 13 days. I can go to sleep now.

When my mind if going in every direction prior to bed time the best thing I have found is "valerian root" .

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valerian_%28herb%29

Valerian is used for sleeping disorders, restlessness and anxiety, and as a muscle relaxant. Certain data suggests that valerian has an effect that is calming but doesn't cause sleepiness the following day.[citation needed] When used as a sleeping aid, valerian appears to be most effective on users who have difficulty falling asleep. Also noteworthy is that valerian has been shown to have positive results on users who wake up during the night.
