"up past" = the 24th side of the building, north of Larsen's. I believe it used to be a Thai place... never remembered to go there, and when I drove past the other day it was boarded up (fresh boards) and a guy came out wearing a tool belt. New restaurant? Business? Anyone know?

More Larsen's bakery. They decided to forego the renting it out to someone and expand.

hmm. too bad. was hoping for something new there.

i live in the general area and while i'm certainly not asking for mixed use condos, it'd be nice to have some more businesses. plenty of people, families around...

i think the church a block down owns the weird building/parking lot across from larsens on the east side of 24th/80th - which is too bad because that corner is just waiting for revitalizing. that motel looking building could certainly be improved upon.

Expand?? Well lets hope they 'gut' the old part or at the very least CLEAN it!! It's so dirty I can't believe the Health Dept doesn't close them down. Maybe they'll be hiring some friendlier staff and maybe even put prices on the items......one can only wish and dream .......

I'd love to see some new businesses move in. I really miss the little thrift store. But I enjoy Larsen's and am happy they are expanding.

How long Larsen's has been there? I seem to remember a drug store right about there in the middle Sixties, where I bought a paperback collection of the Tumbleweeds comic strip.
