Sending out good find-kitty vibes! >^..^<

Hoping this beautiful cat has been found. Suggestions: look in garages, sheds, basements (yours and ask neighbors to do same. One of mine was found in a basement after missing 9 days - hungry, scared but okay. Another one was treed by a dog so look up. And of course posters in the neighborhood. And check with local vets - hoping someone has found your cat & brought in to see if has microchip.

Ann, you might want to post a real picture of the cat, not that MS Paint cartoon-looking picture. I saw the poster of it on a light pole, I live in that area. Not only does it not give a good depiction of your cat, but it almost seems like a joke that people may not take seriously. Is there a reason you didn't post a real picture?
That being said, I'll be on the lookout.
By the way, I'm talking about the poster on the light pole, not the Craigslist ad. I know there are pics posted there, although you will also see the Paint pic I was referring to.

I thought the big head would "read" better as "cat". Hopefully anyone who sees a new cat nearby will take a second look. I thought the drawing might work better for kids, too. Thanks for the feedback though, I'll try to find/make an improved pic.
As far as searching for her, I have another cat that when he hides in a room takes a while to find, so trying to find a missing kitty in a several-square-block area filled with multi-family dwellings seems kind of hopeless.

Anne, never give up hope, Like I said it was nine days before I found my cat. He was locked in the basement of what was a just sold home. For some reason I kept going to that house, knowing it was empty, and trying to look in windows, calling his name. Never heard him meow. The house was behind mine about a half block away. Put up posters, put flyers in mail boxes and that's how the people connected when they found him in the basement. But if you haven't asked neighbors about basements, sheds, please do.

I won't give up. I'll try the mailbox & apt. building flyers too. Thanks for the support!

Update: Someone saw her on 59th st btwn 28th & 30th, so I've spread flyers up that way. (Thank you kind person for calling!) New posters have clear picture.

Bump
Ann it isn't hopeless! Found mine 2 miles away after 5 weeks. You're doing all the right stuff. I've got your number programmed into my phone in case I see her. Good thoughtsPosted 8 months ago # -
lifeisamazing, how did you find your pet 2 miles away? Did someone see an online posting? My flyers are only posted in a 2-3 block radius. I'm keeping my CL posting up-to-date. Thanks!

We put up more than 200 posters with good pictures saying how much we loved him and offering a reward in a wider and wider range.
Put one in each of the vet offices (asked them to post it under the counter or in the back office rather than in public view so as to not tip anyone off who had decided to keep him and was bringing him in as if he was their own)
Put them up at all the pet stores big and small. He had apparently been kicked out of other cats territories until he was 2 miles away. On week 5 a woman stopped a cat fight and took him in, beat up but basically alright. Kept him for a couple of days on tuna then ran out and went to the petco to get food where she saw our sign.
She had just kept him those few days without making much of an effort to find his owners because he looked so straggly and thin, she'd never seen him in the neighborhood, she hadn't seen posters (she was actually outside of where we had put them up which is why putting them up in central community areas is so important -grocery stores, vets, petstores etc) and he was not microchiped so she assumed he'd been dumped. (He is not actually my cat, he belonged to my ex and I couldn't get him to put "one of those little radio active things in my cat" Argh.
The punchline is that she was allergic to cats! She just couldn't throw him out or send him to the pound bless her heart. So she spent those days sneezing!
Wonderful reuniting! My ex -the big Harley riding, Nam vet, bearded, slightly scary if you don't know him guy cried with his "kid" Pooter back in his arms.
Please keep us informed so we can celebrate with you when you find your girl.

Ann...I'm so sorry to hear that Lucy is still missing. I'm also hoping she's "eating tuna bon-bons & watching mouse cartoons on someone else's couch."
One of my cats was gone for two months...two different times!...so I'm hoping Lucy will still make her way back home to you. We'll keep looking, too. >^..^<

Just wanted to let the people who helped me with my lost kitty that she has been FOUND!!!
A SUPER-nice officer from the Seattle Animal Shelter called me from the WA Federal bank on 63rd St & 15th Ave, where the kind employees had been feeding her for the last two weeks. (HOW KIND IS THAT?!) Lucy has an injured paw, is super skinny, and is all matted and ratty, but my girl is alive! She's at the vet now, being taken care of by her very own vet the Most Awesome Dr. Hilmoe, but I will be able to bring her home tonight.
Thank you all SO MUCH for your help!!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
