Damn hellhounds. Now I have two of them sniffing and fussing. Only one left to guard the Hillbilly mansion. Crap.

EARTHQUAKE! That is why. You have brilliant hellhounds. Now that the quake is done (see how they try to warn the Canadians?), they can go back to protecting the mansion and predicting game outcomes.

Yup, was over a bit quickly. It was tied til we got home and I put on the panda hat. If anyone knows me and cares, we'll probably go down to the team store next saturday to get stuff. If you want anything, let me know.

    Go Giants!!!

Seeing the Tigers get swept is sweet revenge :) They swept my Padres in the '84 series. I still remember it. I was 6! :)

Hah! That was during the Magnum PI heyday I'd guess.

one thing that I was curious about (not watching many professional championship celebrations)--what's with the ski goggles in the locker room? are they that concerned with getting hit by a champagne cork after standing in front of a 94 mph fastball?
they looked like dorks more than heroes, but perhaps this is the new status quo.

    The day after...
Giants had a pretty rough plane ride back from the Motor City but landed safe & sound... ESPN chose not to cover it, concwentrating instead on the Jet QB controversy (10 min), the Eagle QB cponroversy (12 min), the NYG win over the fumbling America's Team (14 min... they showed Pierre- Paul's INT/TD FIVE TIMES!), the hideous throwback uniforms GOD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES!
We got about a minute of World Series highlights twice in the hour and a half I watcched it, towards the end the ONLY reason I watched it was to see if they would even mention it at all...
Last time I watch ESPN for ANY reason!
ESPN = East Coast Preferred Nuances
***end of rant, continue with your regularly scheduled programs***
One last note, when the Yankees won the WS back in the early 2000s ESPN had a special 6 hour show which covered such important info as boxer/brief preference, Country vs rap, who had the ugliest dog, etc. etc.

They said this was the lowest rated series. Ever. Makes me sad, I think the Giants are a fun team to watch.

    teigyr...
    Reason(s) are:
1- Short series, 4 games only
2- No NY/Philly/other big east coast city team in it
3- No real drama, Detroit got rode hard & put up wet!
    (LOL)
4- Commercial time waaaaay down, only 61% if usual series...

    cool read

The next thing he knew, Weir and Lesh were inviting him to sing the high harmony part when they performed the National Anthem on Grateful Dead Tribute Night at AT&T Park.

"In my 33 years in professional baseball, I'd never sung the National Anthem," Flannery said. "But when that opportunity came up I text messaged (general manager) Brian Sabean, my boss, and said, 'The boys asked me to sing high harmony, and I'd like to try it with them. Are you cool with this?'"

Sabean was more than cool with it, especially after Flannery and company hit the hard-to-sing song out of the park. The following November, Flannery was joined by Weir on stage at the Uptown Theatre in Napa for the second sold-out benefit concert Flannery had organized for Bryan Stow, the Giants fan severely injured in an
