For $750.00 it should have come with an OAC sticker and lifetime membership

I'm just curious... coming from the midwest, I've seen some pretty all-terrain strollers, and the most they've ever cost was 300.00. What brand name was the stroller to go for almost 1000.00? I thought HOLY CRAP!!

and if it was really worth that much, did she give you a reward when you saw it returned to the owner?

I agree whippet, I've never seen such an expensive stroller (unless it was for twins, triplets, etc.)

I thought the same thing, which is why this story stinks. I did a quick Amazon search and the most expensive one was $450. Could it be our hero is embellishing on the value to make it seem like a more noble deed?

I got curious myself and did a quick google search and did find some strollers from a company called Bugaboo that does cost that much, and I would have NEVER have guessed strollers were so expensive nowadays. Maybe I should mind my own business since the brand name of the stroller has nothing to do with my life... I'm just amazed that a baby care item is so costly. GI, I was wondering the same thing about a reward also I have to admit.. :)
I'm not sure if I would have taken the stroller from the park since I always retrace my steps when I lose something and would have figured that the person would do the same thing, and a stroller is a pretty big thing to lose. But I can understand why she might have since the park is getting a fairly bad reputation for "unseemly" sorts.

  6. I am so happy to have found the owners that I now see the humor in the obnoxious thought patterns here. The couple are very happy, wanted to give me a reward which I declined. I have been the receiver of kindness and the effort it entailed, so all is good. Yes, NW whippet. You are correct, and I was certainly shocked at the cost also. In my life now, I cannot replace something a fraction of that cost, so I am very happy to have helped them.

Humor, yes maybe poker believes me to have a unique form of munchhousen (sp) where I steal only to ride the white horse in to return the stolen object. What a wacko poker!

    So tell us, Smartsy.
Why did the owners leave the stroller unattended?

reminds me of the video from the garbage truck, where the woman let her stroller (with baby) run away down a hill until the garbage man blocked the road with his truck and saved the day

that woman walked away sheepishly (on Queen Anne I believe).

sometimes people clear some space out so they can space out.

Smartsy, I'm glad you see the humor in it and realize I was just messing with you. I think you are a lovely, good hearted woman.
