Don't know if this dog has been re-homed yet, but this posting is still up on craigslist...

5 year old, neutered male Black Lab needs a new home - no kids, no cats, active lifestyle would be an ideal match. This dog has lots of energy and definitely some quirks, but a good heart. Email me to learn more about him and why we need to find him a new family within the week.

He does still need a home.

He is a beautiful dog, but has his fair share of behavioral issues which makes rehoming difficult. Unfortunately, he'll be heading to the Seattle Animal Shelter on Saturday 11/10 to see if they have any more luck in finding him a forever home.

Damn, define 'fair share', is it like, he's got millions but shits pennies?

    I stick by beautiful dog.

Lots of animals might have "issues"...but given a second chance, can blossom into a very loving animal without those same issues at a new home. I sure hope you can find your lab a new home before having to take him to the shelter.

Our cat, Charlie, is a perfect example of that. Our friend was originally going to take him to a no-kill shelter, but we offered to take him so we could find him a good home. Happy ending...we kept him ourselves! Good thing, because I don't think he would've fared well in a shelter. He was rather psycho when we first got him. Now with us, however, he's the best guy ever! His previous home just had too many restrictive rules and he just looked so sad. Now he's the happy cat he was meant to be. Just took a lot of TLC! (...and perhaps more feedings per day.) >^..^<

@ballardista...Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association "has a very active rescue program." You might be able to get some help finding your dog a good new home here...

Good luck to you and your pooch!

Please don't say that "unfortunately" he'll be going to the Seattle Animal Shelter. They will take good care of him and help him find a great home. If he has behavioral issues, they have great foster-care and training programs to help make him more adoptable.
They have been recognized as a "no-kill" shelter:

Happy to report that he has been rehomed! Thanks to Petfinder.com and Seattle nonprofit organization Saving Great Animals.

If you're looking for a charity to spread some love this season, check them out - they were very helpful in what has been a difficult time for us.

ballardista...that's so wonderful! That was certainly a tough decision you had to make, but glad to hear you took the extra effort and were able to find a new home for your Lab so quickly. Now your pooch will be able to go from one home to another without having to stay in a kennel by himself for who knows how long. Happy news, indeed! :-)
