If your "vehicle" has four wheels, but no license plate, you can "park" in an on-street parking space without danger of getting a parking ticket:

The On The Park building folks say the city told them to "park" their dumpsters there for pickup, which is hard for me to believe, but in a city like Seattle just might be true!
Or you could take the bus.

Are you sure about this? Couple of years ago I came back to car to find ticket. Seems my tabs had expired & that's what the ticket was for. Imagine no license would be a ticket item too.

@gracie...just check out the linked photo, and you'll see that the "vehicle" referenced = dumpster...not talking about our own cars here. :-)

I've seen clunkers before, but that jalopy could easily be construed for a dumpster.

I was a part of a decision to put dumpsters on the street on Wednesdays, which wasn't an easy task for us, but was preferable to them blocking the sidewalks, for days on end.
The city was very appreciative of my efforts, and solution, and won't ticket any dumpster, I promise.
You see, if somebody rolled up and parked in front of my dumpsters, they couldn't be collected, sidewalks would be blocked until they were.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out. (Although, some still need to be convinced, clearly)

Seriously? FREE parking on Wednesdays if you drive a vehicle that looks exactly like a dumpster?
