I passed the closed down RoRo's this morning across from the high school . I started to wonder what type of business would be successful so close to high school. If you where to replace it with another eating establishment what theme do you think would sell to that clientele?

Prom Pizza!

You know, reasonably good pizza by the slice would work pretty well. It would also really help the business if they set prices so that they were a round number of dollars after tax. Then they don't have to deal in coins and they can get people through the line a lot faster.

Interesting especially with Crash Landing closing down next month. It seems a decent amount of people are upset by that and the RoRo's location isn't that far away.

A pizza place with a small cover charge and an "all you can smoke" marijuana policy before ordering said pizza.
(Shhh, I know.. 21, not close to schools... don't rain on my parade).

I would love to see a soup and sandwich place.

A Bikini Barista place and if that does not work, a full on nudie bar!

Isn't there a pizza place across the street? Sahara or something? I think it should go back to being a burger joint. Teenagers + cheeseburgers = $$.

with a name like Sahara, no wonder it's always a desert wasteland!
(ba-dum bum).anyway, the burger joint could have a twist.
say, they offer real beaver meat.Posted 6 months ago # -
Would the golden beaver have mustard only ?

I don't think anyone farms beaver, but I think there are substitutes. Once people realized that the nutria they are eating has the same flavor profile as the McRibb, I think it would take off.

"Would the golden beaver have mustard only ? "
and once a month, they'd have the 'red beaver' (with ketchup of course!)

Think they could sell a beaver sausage?

Breakfast/lunch diner type place similar to The Dish would do well, I think. Or kind of like that but veering a bit more to "deli" -- Alki Bakery, do you need another outpost?
Or, how about Ballard Brothers! I'd love to see them in that space.

GI .. Eeeeew gross. I knew enough to stay away from that suggestion. I bet they could get a good price on the meat in Federal Way.

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- Until recently, flooding in one Federal Way neighborhood had been a constant problem. The state came up with a solution, but it meant killing four beavers and upsetting many nearby residents.
Angeline - I bet a 24 hour establishment would do extremely well there.

I'll bet you could roast a beaver's tail, then put toppings on it like a pizza.

Kids love the expensive coffee.

I think a place called The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
There are a lot of kids that eat garbage food but there are more and more kids that have food allergies or are just deciding to eat healthier.
Have the basic burgers and fries (humanly raised and slaughtered beef of course)
but also have vegetarian, vegan, gluten free etc etc options.
It would be interesting to see if that would fly.
It would be even better if it could be vegetarian but I don't think they'd make enough money.Posted 6 months ago # -
The 5 Point Cafe has an excellent menu especially if running a 24 hour place to get ideas.

Hard to imagine a Dicks not doing well right across the street from a school. Dirt cheap and super fast.

Prices have to be low for the student budget, but the food has to be decent enough to draw in others from the neighborhood.
