I was just reading this article and it made me wonder how this should of been handled. If a person is so drunk they need to be thrown out should more be done to ensure there safety. I am not just referring to a sporting event but bars, restaraunts, house parties & etc.

The deceased man, whose name has not been revealed, was ejected from the stadium during the game for allegedly being intoxicated. Police were able to track his whereabouts after getting a “ping” from his cellphone and used the helicopter in order to pinpoint his exact location.

Very tragic. But what else could be done? The ballpark staff can't follow every ousted drunk to be sure they get home safely. Maybe a cab system could be put in place? But there needs to be funding for that. Cab stands are a great idea, but the majority of people who get that drunk are likely to spend every last dollar on booze and walk or find a bus home.

Talk about creepy. This was the victims favorite quote on his Facebook page."In the never ending battle between the stream and the rock the stream always wins. Not through strength, but through persistence"

A 26-year-old Palmyra man died after the Bills game Thursday night in what authorities are calling an accidental drowning.

David Gerken Jr. was identified Friday by Orchard Park Police Chief Andrew Benz.

He was found face down in a creek behind the stadium Friday morning by an Erie County Sheriff’s Department helicopter, Benz said.
