   I was going to go to Carkeek Park this weekend. The road was closed almost up to 3rd NW. Anybody know what up? I was looking forward to sitting in my car & enjoying the view & reading my book. Getting over a very nasty case of whatever & had severe cabin fever that day. Ended up at my old stomping grounds- Golden Gardens.

   Creature of habit. I turn off of 3rd just past that school. Is that 117th? Because if so, that's where I turned and down below, just before road turns to right, police car there & barricades with road closed signs.

   117th is north of that street - go north, down the hill and up at the top is 117th turn west - the park entrance is only about 3 blocks

   <thump> - me smacking myself in head. I know where that road is -sometimes when I leave the park will turn left & go up that hill. Wish I had thought of that this weekend. Live and learn.

   Most likely due to landslide/washout or flooding considering all the rain.
