Maybe clear out a storm drain or two, maybe not place a tent over a storm drain.

It's too bad none of the many, many, many geniuses couldn't figure it out before now.

I know, I'm mean. But I do surface water management for a living, it's good living.

Call the city, demand a surface sweeper or super-sucker for Nickelsville, maybe some sandwiches...

We need to be compassionate, after all...

It always annoys me that tent city is called Nickelsville. Nickels did much more to help people out of homelessness than the current useless tit of a mayor will ever do.

Is really silver plated tin and part of false conscious. Do not to spend nickel all in one place.

Yes, yet, no key to the city.

I totally understand why they are pissed...

I mean, really, the guy could've moved them all indoors, your house for example. Nickelsville remains as an example of an incompetent elite liberal. Maybe our next mayor will really come through for them.

Don't blame Nickels. He did not support the idea of establishing permanent tent cities, unless the current doofus in charge. If anyone's an incompetent liberal, it's McSchwinn. He has no problem with supporting homelessness as a lifestyle choice.

Nickels was, overall, a good leader, but misunderstood. Not a warm and fuzzy guy.

1der - off topic you work in surface water management?

How very weird - so does one of my brothers - I don't think you're him...the stories don't sync, but wouldn't that be ironic ;o)

Huh - no wonder Seattle still has CSO. A modern sewage treatment system is the kind of thing whiny liberals want. Real fiscal conservatives like to see kindergarteners wading through the raw sewage and tracking it into the school building (check out NB elem. on a rainy day). Makes for tougher kids.

"Huh - no wonder Seattle still has CSO"

Ballard is uphill of all that crap, we need to connect, it's required of us, we pay for it, but everything dumps into school playgrounds or Puget Sound ('xcuse me, the Salish Sea) any time it rains a quarter inch.

    But, we are green. Damnit.

Anyway, this thread in particular is about a news story complaining about a flooded tent city. Maybe it's a crappy location, maybe it's a crappy mindset. Intersecting.

It can actually be considered a mini URS. All you need to do is add soap and bam humans and clothes are clean.
