Now that the honey bucket has been removed from Ballard Commons Park I don't even want to imagine how it smell when it gets wet.

    1) In regards to stuff on the front page, I frequently read headlines stating something is planned to happen today, tonight, or tomorrow, instead of saying which day of the week we're talking about. It's especially noticable when there are no new headlines for multiple days, and even though I know to look a little closer for the date the story was posted, it still bugs me.

    2) I noticed that Grocery Outlet's signs day they're selling "Nobel" Fir trees, and only just now remembered to check to see if I'd been spelling Noble Fir wrong forever. Nope. They're going to be stuck using that large sign for years.

    3) I had NO idea white people smelled like baloney when they get wet. Is the odor like brand-name QFC baloney, or bargain-priced, short-dated baloney we might get when we pick up our Nobel Fir Christmas tree? Further, I wonder if they smell like cold baloney between cheap white bread (another bargain when you buy your Nobel), or a fried baloney sandwich.

I hope they smell like the former.

ballardgirl - Meghan Walker is the women who writes most of the articles on the front page of MyBallard. I've been told that she is a journalism intern from the UW but have no idea if that is correct.

Oh my god, Ernie, you're right! Is it always that dated, or is this a technical glitch?

Looking at Ms. Walker's blog/homepage/whatever a while back, I noticed that she described herself as a *radio* journalist. Since MyBallard is print media and so not nearly as exciting as a broadcast operation, she may just be slumming it here.

The sites (owned by the same people) with volunteer/low paid mods actually write more than the "professional" writer here. Whatever Ms Walker is paid, it is too much.
