Two weeks ago, my wife crashed our only car to an electricity post. I am out of work at the moment. I need a car to help me find work. I am willing to make a reasonable payment for a reliable car. Please write me at nwachai@yahoo.com if you've a car you would like to dispose.

Maybe your wife should take a bus?

...especially if you don't want to pay for insurance.

This man appears to have been out of a job for two years. He posted two years ago looking for job & couldn't find one. That's a long time to go without a job. When I looked at his profile website shows: www.v-suade.com -- which my computer virus setup blocked because of this websie. That was weird.
I have a neighbor who has this small truck that sits out in the street never moving. We live on a dead end street that is like an alley so parking is at a premium & trying to back in or out can be frustrating. There's a garage right there where he parks (but so full of junk can't get truck in there) & he drives his girlfriend's car all the time. Wish I could pass it onto this person.

    Could be same person...

Either way, this thread smells worse than I do, if you want a faceboking
car, you go to a facebooking car website first.

If you want to spam somebody, you go directly to MyBallard?

    I guess so, it's a facebooking miracle...

If you search his e-mail, he seems legit. The website was probably owned at one point and now it's for sale.

I do know people who have been out of work and who took the bus to find work and now take the bus to go to work. Best of luck :) Cars are expensive to own (insurance, repairs, gas) so the bus might be a better option.

For those trying to throw some insults here, I'm not looking for sympathy or freebies. I'm smart enough to know that there are no free things in this world. I started this thread because I know there are people who might have cars in their garages that they would like to sell (cheaply), but don't want to advertise on Craigslist and other web sites. And when I say cheaply, I don't mean $1 or $1000.00. I'm looking for a reliable car that will cost between $3,000 and $4,000. I want to hear from people who might have cars worth this much. These are the people I would like to see responding to this post, not a bunch of folks with condescending attitude. Or people who believe that it's a crime or a sign of laziness to not have a job. If indeed I was here to spam, I should not have provided my email. I am a man of dignity with a family. And of course, I am not ashamed to say that I have two masters degrees. I do not have a job at this point by design. I want to thank Gracie for being a voice of reason.

Errr, spam scammers always provide their email, since otherwise they are unable to communicate with their targets.

In any case, autotrader.com is the best place I know of to get a used car.

mwana, don't be discouraged by the neighborhood bully.

I read your post exactly as you described it. plenty of people have older cars they need some prodding to sell.

I think on-line used car sites (like mondo lists above) are a good starting point and what I used for leverage at an actual dealer.

Hey mwana - some of us were encouraging! I don't have a car to sell but I certainly wish you luck :-)

mwana - I did not mean to insult, and if so, I'm very sorry. I do hope you find a job, if that is your choosing. Just commenting two years is a long time to be without a job - heck, two months is a long time financially for lots of people.
There is a car for sale that I saw on the corner of NW 70th & 34th Saturday when I was trying to spot the snow owl in that area. It had a sign in it. It is a small black station wagon. That might work for you.
Again, apologies if I offended you. Best of luck to you and your family.

Actually I know lots of people who have gone two+ years "without a job" in this crappy economy. They have survived by having freelance gigs, doing jobs unrelated to their field, working under the table at stuff like dog walking and housesitting, etc. But the entire time they have also been engaged in a search for a real, long-term career job. They get interviews and are qualified, but with lots of people looking it's just really hard to land anything. It totally sucks.

Same here angeline. Two years seems to be nothing in this economy.

That is true, Angeline - about doing odd jobs until you find your permanent job. And yes, it is very hard out there. I'm thankful I have a stead job. Years ago I had back surgery and was out of work for six months. My office at that time gathered money to pay my insurance Other than that no money coming in. (but in hindsight it should have been an L&I as I fell down a flight of stairs at work that had water on them). I was down to less than a dollar in my checking account & even though not supposed to stand for long periods, I answered an ad where you hand out samples - turned out to be cigarettes & I hate smoking. I quit after one day cuz it was too hard on my back. Thank God for my parents who helped me out - otherwise I don't know what I would have done.
