Are there any tablets that have the adobe flash capability? I sent something to someone & he wrote back couldn't open up the video because no tablets have adobe flash capability any longer?
Is this true? Hope not because I finally decided I was going the tablet route. Was looking at an Acer one and a Samnsung one.

    Gracie,

Adobe Flash can be loaded on an Android Tablet. Samsung for example. It cannot be loaded on an Apple tablet though there is a quirky way around that. It should also be possible to load it on a Windows 8 tablet but I have not played with those personally.

You might check out Samsung tablets, and also Google's. Both are solid devices.

Adobe stopped support for android (pulled it from Google play) in October - they will still support the apps that are presently installed - but will no longer make them available .

IOTW - if you have it installed now - Yea, if not to late. (look on the 'underground' boards you may find flash - that you will need to install it manually )

I was checking out Samsung but want to be able to pull up videos & such that are sent to me. So Dave you say Samsung would have it and then Rich says all pulled off. Dave, hopefully you are correct!!!

    I tend to believe Dave.

But, I've got little reason to dis-trust Rich.

    See our dilemma?

It's off the cliff for us...

Besides, somebody else owns everything we do. Even if they are broke.

Okay RichY - I'm type A personality where long articles don't work with me. And I'm ANYTHING but tech savvy. I'm tech dumb. All I want is a tablet that I can open attachments that are videos on email;can open videos, games, etc. Is there a way & if so, what do I look for? (don't go too tekky on me, please)

Ok - here is a walk through and the Flash app:

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1954255

You need to follow the link on a computer - it will then show you how to install the app manually.

here are all the flash apps from adobe - about half way down are the android versions:

Gracie....have you tried going to a store and actually laying your hands on some of these tablets? Just a thought. If you are gonna spend that much money on one it would be good to have played it several to compare.

That's the plan. I just haven't had time but definitely going to do that. In fact, I think you suggested that to me before (been looking for what to get for a long time). I am definitely a "hands on" type person instead of just buying off the Net without first seeing.
Thanks Dave - what a cool dog.
