I am also open to have game night this Saturday or Sunday (22/23), but people may be busy with the world ending and other holidays.

What is a good time for folks? 4? 5?

As mentioned, I've got lots of games, so no worries if you don't have one. Or you can bring your favorite and teach us!

Today I am digging on Zombie Dice. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMtlQxJeWvc start at 10:24)

(shrug) I want to play reindeer games. I'm a maybe, though, because I work Sundays. Depends how tired I am. But will make a genuine effort. :-)

Hey folks, what is your favourite game to play?

For short games especially with the kids, Star Fluxx or Munchkin. When there's more time with adults, Kingdom Builder, Dominion, or Empire Builder. The kids are old enough that Clue or Pictionary work for longer games with them. On the vacation days this winter, I should get the old Cheapass games out (Kill Doctor Lucky and Captain Park's Imaginary Polar Expedition are both good). Sadly, I think Cheapass is no more.

PS I also appreciate someone using the Forum to promote community, even if I'm not planning on playing the reindeer games.

boatgeek! I have star fluxx! We played it last time. I love it. I can't remember whether I've played Munchkin or not. I do have "We didn't playtest this either" which is chaotic like Fluxx, but more simple to learn. The one I have came with the blue and dice cards.

I've seen the CheapAss games but never used them. I would love for you to bring them by!

Nora, do you have time this Saturday?

Ok folks, anyone for reindeer games (at SHM's request)? If folks can't do Sunday, no worries, we could do Saturday instead. If we get 3 or more we can play Cards Against Humanity which is always a fun and super easy to learn. I also have plenty games for 2-4. Come bring your favorite casual game and if you don't have one, I've got tons myself. These are easy to learn games, nothing super involved or with a crazy learning curve.

Come see your fellow forumers! No worries meeting new people, anyone not behaving will be laughed out of the bar. Anyone behaving will be laughed along with in the bar.

I'm open to other venues, but the trendy ones tend to be overly peopled and we need a quietish place to hang without needing to turn over tables quickly. Also, cheap is always a happy thing.

Nora, I'm thinking 4 or 5, but I'm open to what works for others. I can do Aster's if that would suit folks better. The only drawback is they don't have any dairy free or substantial food, but otoh, Viking's food isn't great either (but will do in a pinch). If we do Aster's, we'll definitely want to do earlier rather than later as they close at 9 on Sunday.

    Thoughts?

SA: Does Aster's have easy to reach tables? I am only recalling the easy chairs, which would make a table game very difficult.

Sorry, I'm in for the night. Sunday's are just hard because it's the middle of my work week. Do Fridays work for anyone? Also, the Smokeshop has a full menu and the soup is awesome. And big tables.
