I've slacked (once again) horribly this year. We have lots of living trees and one that's in the house but it's a seedling and isn't the most festive looking thing right now. I want to get a token wreath because it will smell piney and holiday-ish and that's about all I have the energy to do. I usually get them at Costco but I seriously doubt if I'll have time to go before Sunday. Has anyone seen any decent wreaths locally?
Store/lot with decent wreath?(10 posts)
you'll have to define "decent" teigyr.
I've seen some bland ones at the local grocery stores (Safeway, QFC).
however, like the boring ol' one I got at Lowes, these can be 'pimped' to look half-way decent. also it was only $16 instead of the 'pre-pimped' ones for $30.
my wife did a great job pimping our wreath with a fancy bow and some assorted decorations pulled from the x-mas tub.
We got ours at Top Banana. I just slapped a big bow on it and it's perfect.
Thanks! I don't care about pimping too much, I just like piney freshness and that "holidays are here" smell. I might have to break down and go to Costco this weekend though, my only consolation is they move their lines very efficiently.
Wasn't the late-night Christmas-tree poaching done off the sidewalk near you, t? You could just bring a backpack and tree saw on your next jog up the Interurban...
They had nice ones at the farmers market last week
If I just poached tree branches, I could probably make my own wreath and nobody would even notice!
Ernie, it looks like there will be a Farmers Market on Sunday! It might be busy but maybe I'll check it out. If I can find a couple of pies somewhere, I might not need Costco until after the holidays. Score!
"I don't care about pimping too much"
you and most people!
that's why I'm considering setting up a 'wreath-pimping' stand in the parking lot of one of these big box stores.
for five bucks and five minutes, I could make a $10 wreath look like it came out of Alexander Mcqueen's shop.
Hah. I can just see the reality show now, "Pimp My Wreath".
I was thinking a wench...
but I'm a bit late to that party
