Questions for cooking a beef tenderloin

    All the recipes I came across are for a 2 lb roast, I have an 8 lb roast, I wouldn't increase the time by 4x to cook it and I'll use a meat thermometer but does anyone have a rule of thumb for minutes per pound for a roast?
