the Goodwill on Dearborn I think? This Macklemore song is the only the second Seattle hip-hop song to go platinum. Nice message/attitude too.

Damn...That's a cold-ass honky!
Have you checked out his tribute to Dave Niehaus?

I was at the game, opening day '11 I think, when he performed this song live, pretty effin cool.
Edit: phoo, that whole album is killer, I can't believe it's been 20 years....

"I know they want to spray me with mace, but my trunk keeps pumping that bass...."
yep Sir Mix-a-Lot's the other one!
Ernie, you accidentally posted the same link twice. And yes I LOVE One time's got no case!

"My lawyers ate her up like catfish."
I LOVE that Thrift store song!! And I didn't even know he was from Seattle!
Everytime I drive by that goodwill, with the sign that says "Goodwill Outlet", I crack up! Like the Nordstrom rack it for selling things that could not sell in their first line stores, or returns, so what is Goodwill selling at their outlet? Must be some serious 'shit'!
Ballardemician - like ballardgirl mentioned above it is the Outlet store on 6th ave and Holgate that the video is filmed at.
If you haven't been there it is worth a trip because it is a trip! Big bins of stuff that has not been sorted and furniture for 99 cents! A lot of junk but I work with some young people that get some great stuff there, takes perseverance and patience, more than I seem to have these days!
Thanks for fixing that phoo!
VB -- I've been down there but not for ten years. It is a fun place - I should stop through again now that it's sufficiently famous! Hope you are doing much better.
And Silver, I think I saw you in Goodwill in Ballard about a year or so ago? You found a really weird kid's sports team shirt with the team name "Little Tweakers" and we chatted about it for a second? I'm tall, accompanied by what I like to think was the cutest toddler in the world. You, if it was you, have a great sense of style. Did you buy that shirt?
Ballardemician - Wow! That was you? How cool, and thank you! No, I didn't buy the shirt, and I've been kicking myself ever since. My favorite kid's shirt purchase (also from the Ballard Goodwill) is a yellow shirt that shows a monkey wearing a baseball glove getting hit in the face by a baseball. It says "Catch with your hands, not with your face!" The boyfriend's kid has just grown out of it and I have reclaimed it.
Thank you for making the connection. Please introduce yourself again if we bump into each other!
That outlet on 6th is a trip, but I have found some cool stuff there. In particular a very cool lucite coffee table...um, hello? 1973? I have some of your livingroom here!
Goodwill Outlet is for the hardcore. I love it as much as I love that Macklemore song.
Thrift Shop is a great one. But can it really compare to the video for his song "And We Danced"?
Nice video. Can't wait to see these guys live. I know, late to that party, but hey, heard the stuff on KEXP forever and it never hit my radar screen because in this case, the profanity is totally necessary.
