All my empty holiday boxes and bags are spread around the floor - cat heaven - they like it better then catnip.

Here is a good one. Take a paper bag, make a little hole in the bottom and lay it on the floor on it's side.
Take a ribbon or a string and put it through the hole and start to pull it from the bottom of the bag so that it is getting pulled into the bag.
Eventually the cat will follow it into the bag and, with mine, one of two things happen. Either the paws start tearing through the hole trying to follow the string then the face until the whole body comes through or they take a running jump, slide into the bag and the bag with cat goes sliding across the floor.
    Yes I am easily entertained.
Bet it would be even more fun with a box but maybe have the box upright. the hole in the bottom the string draped over the edge of the box and out onto the floor and slowly pull it into the box.
I've learned to take the handles off though. I once had a cat get it's neck caught in the handles of a bag while playing and the poor thing panicked so badly I couldn't catch him. He ran around the house banging into things like crazy until the bag finally broke apart. When I got to him his heart was beating so hard I thought he was going to have a cardiac. Now that was not funny poor guy.

Yep, boxes don't make it out to recycling as fast with Charlie around... >^..^<

Isn't it true about the bags and boxes. When I go into a store I'll ask to buy a paper bag, even though I have one with me. It's to replace the destroyed ones by Pickles. Here I paid all this money for all these toys & her favorite boxes and bags.
LIA - thanks for the idea with the string or ribbon. And you posted before about the handles on the bags and glad you did. I took them off immediately. Pickles gets so excited taking a running start at a bag that sometimes she misses & goes under the bag & ends up scooting across the floor with bag on top of her head. I now have a paperbag on my bed to keep her happy when it is bedtime for me and she is still full of energy. She also loves to ride in the car and when I put the grocery bags in the backseat - she jumps into one of them & goes to sleep or just has top of her head showing with that look like "I'm gonna get you."

Another cheap and inexpensive thing I found out about boxes is my daughter takes pride in decorating them for the kittens. It keeps both her and the kittens entertained for awhile as opposed to sticking her in front of a television.

Buff - that is awesome. My neighbor's boy, when I first got Pickles, made her a "kitty condo" and a playhouse out of big cardboard boxes. They had individual rooms & he did amazingly well.

Gordy (love that name - it was my brother's name - you would have liked him). Looked at that cat & talk about putting a size ten foot in a size 2 shoe! Amazing.

My first guess would have been Stopgo seeing he/she is so very compassionate towards the kitties, and has that poor wittle putty cat in his/her avatar.

Hey! The only person that actually saved - meaning really 'saved' an animal was Stopgo. We will relate the story if you would like.
