He's been selling via CL for a ling time. I believe he has a small shop up on Greenwood & 125. a bit of a flake. He missed an appt with me twice and lost a nice sale. I hope having a larger spot means he is clearing out the garages and will have all his merch available.
His ad does't specify the consignment split.

Yes- his shop on Greenword is called The Furniture Guy - I wouldn't call it "small". He's actually quite nice - he's bought stuff at our garage sales and directly. Like many consignment spaces, he's limited by how much space he has available in the store at any moment - it's usually hopping with clientele when I've been by - glad to see he's expanding.

50/50 doesn't sound too reasonable to me. I heard the standard was 40% commission, which is too much for me unless I'm throwing something out.. Apparently it works for others though.
I will have to check it out seeing as I am only a couple blocks away up here in hillbilly landPosted 4 months ago # -
I've shopped at Mosaic, they have a nice selection with reasonable prices. I think they will actually buy items from you instead of waiting for it to sell then splitting the price but I may be wrong.
The split at Classic Consignment is 50/50 which I think is pretty standard.
And you are welcome Silver! :)

I really like Armadillo Consignment up at 125th and Greenwood, but I don't think this new store is them. Are there two consignment stores up on Greenwood?
I have not sold at Armadillo, but it is a pleasure to shop there.

Yes, Angeline, there are 2 stores there.FG is right on the corner ; A is next door.
50/50 is the usual split
I am a big fan of Classic Consignment, having found great buys there. I like the 1/2 price after 30 days policy. My latest great buy is a pair of never worn Donald Pilner Black Boots for $30 ( most likely 90% off)

I have mixed opinions about Classic Consignment. While I've found some great deals on clothes and such....I was really turned off when I witnessed an employee(owner?) get into a near screaming argument with someone trying to collect their $$ from their consignment.

Interbay Girl--I was screamed at, personally, at Classic Consignment. I had asked the salesperson for a changing room, and she gave permission. I was in there for 5 minutes, max, just starting to try on things, when a different salesperson started shouting that it was closing time. She practically ripped the curtain away from me as I was half-clothed, yelling at me that I had to get out "Now!" I told her I would only be a few more minutes, and she chewed me out royally and loudly, with a huge scowl on her face, after I hastily threw my clothes back on. I was polite and accommodating. She was not. I left and haven't been back since.
