I want a four inches of snow, the busses get stuck on the hills, the stores are out of bread and I can snowshoe in the Commons day so bad. One good snowstorm this winter. That's all I ask.

    That would be awesome, Cate.

A few years ago when we actually got snow at our place, we sat in the window at Ocho and watched people cross country skiing down Market. Fun evening.

As one who pretty much has to be at work, no. No major storms please. It did snow a bit today! I was out on a run and saw little whispy white things coming down. I thought it was from the trees but then realized the timing was all off on that and it had to be snow. It was minimal, dry, and there wasn't enough to even be sure (initially) that it was snow.

    Posted 4 months ago #
  14. I agree, Cate. One good storm

I just checked weather on Underground and it said for Seattle 80% chance of percipitation of SNOW! Has anybody else heard this? Seems like it would be "too warm" to snow tomorrow.
Edit: I looked at NOA, KIRO, KINGTV and KOMO and nothing about snow. Whoever put that on underground - you are wrong-o.

Weather Underground? It says 70% chance of precipitation - rain! The only time it mentions a chance of snow is Thursday and that's 20%.

Yes - Weather Underground. We are talking about the same thing. This is what I get:

I think we are looking at two different weather stations :-)

Chance of wet snow in the a.m., the closer to the Hood Canal the better the chance. So they say. Wet snow, warm temps, it's not really snow.

    Lance cares about Lance.

Oh for Pete's sake, we have kids at R rated movies, standoffs in Greenwood, poop in the park, and now PG is playing around with Edog - we have more important things to deal with like all those starving kids in China, Haiti, Syria, etc.......

it would be fun if it did snow though!

PG - As I said in another post you are one intelligent woman who can put Edog in his place with wit and actual facts.
And as far as Underground - I checked & was on Seattle and it wasn't on Ballard. Will change. But downtown Seattle area and Ballard should be basically the same. I'm glad for the rain that's supposed to come because my wonderful neighbor told me this air stagnation affects her eyes and breathing. I had an eye problem this morning - couldn't see going to work. (sorry, very bad joke)
Aunt Salad - LOVE your cat in your avatar. I don't think my young cat will ever get that big.

*L* One - I sure didn't mean to have it read that way. I'm HOPING that weather-wise is the only way downtown and Ballard basically the same. But true, more things are happening now in Ballard area.
