   Look outside & there is an absolute beautiful sunset. Puget Sound looks orangish/red. Best sunset I've seen for awhile.

   gracie - wonderful sunset and did you see the Olympics this morning? They were bathed in sun with a layer of dark clouds over all of the area except the mountains! Wonderful

   VB - I did see the Olympics. Breath taking. Every morning when I pull out and get ready to turn I will look at the Olympics.

   When I first moved out her in 1997 and I would see Mt Rainier on a clear day I would do the sign of the cross. I haven't practiced organized religion in years but it was just something I would do on my own.

   The beautiful sunset, while indeed beautiful, was caused by an inordinate amount of particulate matter in the air leading to poor air quality. Hence the burn ban.

   Regardless, knowing this didn't detract much from my enjoyment of the sunset on my drive home.

   Yep, even without the cool sunsets, I always get a smile on my face when I drive west down Market St and see the Olympics on the horizon.
