Police are on scene. Looking for more units for traffic control.

The thousands of times I've been through that intersection, I've seen a terrier and some brie...

I heard that the guy was approaching the intersection, heading west on 65th, and punched it to get across before the light changed. That's when he lost control and started swerving and spun out...making matters worse by punching it again, and ending up high-centered on the median. Just a darn good thing nobody was in his way!

there are no medians/trees on 65th. he must've really spun-out to land in the median on 8th.

I've never heard the expression "high-centered" before but can guess what it means.

Yep, GI...high-centered on 8th. Surely you've gone 4-wheelin' before. It's no fun to have your wheels spinning in the air.

"It's no fun to have your wheels spinning in the air. "

unless you borrowed you father's '61 Ferrari GT California and the parking valets took it for a joyride so you needed to peel miles off it by going in reverse.

seriously though, I'm surprised this does not happen more often.

especially in the morning for some reason I see many close calls.
just today I saw a car stop for some kids in a crosswalk. a car driving behind came up and passed the stopped vehicle, nearly clipping the kids.

I also see cars (at least once a week) that don't stop for school busses with their red blinkie things on.

I am all for cameras on school buses that catch people that pass illegally.
