Oh god, please don't anybody buy a scanner from Radio Shack! They can't help you program it! For most people the links provided by Shelley will work just fine. Scanners are WAY more complicated than they need to be, probably to keep the bad guys from using them more effectively. The only really helpful thing about a scanner is the ability to lock onto a single talk group, such as the trauma doctor or the North Tactical group.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. My computer is not at my house right now, and using my quirky iPad just doesn't cut it, so I'm missing out on a lot of the internets right now. Will try to get it resolved this week.
In unrelated news, I'll be in Anacortez tonight to see the Boneyard Preachers play the blues! Back sometime tomorrow. behave yourselves!
