Jeeez racerX, can't you see pokerguy misses you? All he craves is a decent backhand in return. C'mon.

Love Ballard, especially for all the new brew pubs either open or soon to be. Great stuff.

Been gone a long time but miss it every day... no place on earth like Ballard. Remember running in the streets as it drizzled (most of the time) but never got all that wet, just a little damp. Hell, I never even wore a raincoat, nobody did!
Playing sports at Adams/BFH, later at Monroe, diving on the asphalt to catch a pass, raspberries on my arms took months to heal, didn't care. Later on at BHS, breaking bones & sitting on the sidelines watching teammates, sometimes tough to do.
That wonderful view of the sound I keep harping about, nowhere... NOWHERE on earth like that. Be up there this summer fer shure, hopefully to meet all or most of you MBers, if I'm able... praying for that.Posted 3 months ago # -

FYW - This evening I walked up to a friends house on 80th and saw a wonderful sunset and then there was a snowy owl in a tree near the Sunset Hill Park! What more could I ask for. Well I also ate a wonderful Chinese vegan feast from Bamboo Garden for lunch and washed it down with tasty beer from Maritime Pacific Brewery. Is this heaven or what!
I love living in Ballard, there are few places on earth that can beat this place.Posted 3 months ago # -
Is that the bamboo garden on Roy? And it was a very pleasant evening for a walk. :)

racerX - yep that is the one, not in Ballard but close, and delicious food. I keep telling them to open one in Ballard!
You are right, it was a wonderful evening for a walk, when I came back at 7:30 there were some fast moving clouds coming from the North but the forecast for tomorrow looks like a nice day.Posted 3 months ago # -
Within just a few blocks of my home I can walk to a library, a movie theater, a bookstore, an art supply store, a yarn store, a grocery, a community center, bus stops, water and any number of bars and restaurants. Ballard is a great place for me to live.
