   A crossing guard got hit by a car on 65th and 18th...here's an update. His daughter got hit walking across that same spot in 2001.

   While that is a fantastic story that deserves it's own thread, the crossing guard was first hit by the car on the 4th. The story was updated today so that is not likely to be the cause of the helicopter.

   That is an interesting report about the victim, Mr. de Castro, of this accident. It doesn't say anything about the driver. Was the driver ticketed, arrested or was it a hit and run? Maybe the BNT has the story.

   Yep, my bad...the days all go by so fast. Heard a helicopter on the day that Mr. de Castro was hit by the car, too, so maybe yesterday's helicopter was flying above where the raccoons where in that 150-ft crane on 24th.
