Hey SA...just saw that craigslist posting. Always good to post them here on myballard, but maybe repost to the classified section, too. :-)

I live just a few blocks away, so maybe I can check around the area tomorrow. Hopefully the dog didn't wander too far away. I know someone who works at Whittier Elementary, so I'll pass along the info...

"Our dog wandered off around 6pm Thursday the 7th in Whittier Heights section of Ballard near 73rd St and 8th Ave NW. Name is Baxter, about 12 yrs old, medium size, part lab, part beagle, mostly black with brown face, and brown legs. Very sweet dog. Please call 206-552-0075 if found."

Heard from the dog's owner this morning that Baxter's still missing. :-(

I asked Geeky Swedes last week if we could get a lost pet forum with a link below the picture at the top, like they have on the PhinneyWood site. It shouldn't be too hard for them to do and we really need it. So far no response...

Will keep an eye out for Baxter.

Yay! Baxter's back home now! :-)

P.S. To jayburgh...it would be nice to have a separate lost/found pets section here...I've mentioned that to them before, too.

I can stop driving around now. Man, there sure are a lot of cats out and about. Unlike dogs, it's so hard to know if they should be where they are or might be lost. Just glad there's one less lost doggie today! :-)

Chickster - so glad Baxter is home, I was extra worried since he is a senior dog.

I think we should all ask the Swedes about a lost pet forum...squeaky wheel.
