SAD? Ooooh....that is an unfortunate acronym.

What about not single but working long hours and unable to do anything? SBWLHaUtdA. At least the SAD people can get out and have fun :)

um, not always...but I get your drift.

I'm pruning fruit trees, which is my annual chore anyway, but today makes lopping stuff off a little better.

I was going to say that being single is actually quite awesome and I miss it. But that would suggest I am unhappy being married, which would not be true. It is just so totally maximally different. In a good way. Thus, I conclude that it's always best to live in the present no matter what your relationship status. Which is to say, I shouldn't say anything at all, since I am pointing out the obvious.

    Enjoy your present moment.

Bio, exactly. And being single WAS awesome, I never got those "I wish someone would buy me stuff and take me out" feelings on holidays though. Now is awesome too though. For Valentines Day I got a pizza, decent bottle of tequila, and klondike bars and will leave them for Mr T. I go to work before he gets home from work, will see him for about 5 minutes at 4am tomorrow. If I wasn't working we'd probably do something quirky like go to the Rickshaw for dinner just because the people watching would be tons of fun and that would offset the sucky food. I guess it's a good thing both of us are fairly low maintenance :)

Oneder, pruning fruit trees sounds so very symbolic. Is this a Valentines tradition?

I just think it is funny that they chose a name with the acronym SAD. I am hoping that was meant to be humorous.

Valentine's Day is a big day for me - all the kiddos want to make valentines and hearts and exchange candy hearts. It is a fun lighthearted day for therapy sessions. I always think of Valentine;s Day as a kids holiday, kind of like Halloween. It kind of annoys me that adults are taking over these celebrations.

It wasn't Valentine's Day, but it was Valentino's time.

Indeed, we came home with a sackful of candy today. I just hid the last of the Halloween stuff from them, and now this. WTF, grade school, WTF?

VD annoys me too. I hate the social pressure of VD, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, any other card buying day. I like your version better.
