We have been prepping the soil for months to set up the garden. Who would you recommend for starters to get this "Garden Party" started? We are mainly looking for a decent place for vegetable starters and when is the right time to grow?

BH: Swanson's. Pick up a Seattle Tilth Maritime Northwest Garden Guide (~$13) while there. It will tell you everything you want to know.
When will the little one be around next? We'd love to have her over.

For most veggie starts, you could check out Seattle Tilth's edible plant sale the first weekend in May. For early veggies (peas, greens, ...) buy seeds from Swanson's. And I second Biophile's recommended book.
