People have always been mystified by hypnosis. It has a long and somewhat baffling history. Through the centuries it has gone from being regarded as a spiritual phenomenon to pure quackery to finally earning the stamp of approval by the American Medical Association in 1958.
But with its general acceptance as a reputable therapeutic procedure, many myths and questions remain:
    • Will I be put into a deep trance and not remember anything?
    • Does it really work? Will I stop smoking, lose weight, deal with my depression?
    • Can the hypnotist control my actions? Will he alter my perception of things?
    • Can hypnosis heal my physical disability?
    • Does hypnosis work for everyone?

All of these questions and more will be answered and demonstrated. You will come away from the class with a clear and comprehensive understanding of what hypnosis is and isn’t, and how it can be applied as self-hypnosis, a tool that can benefit you for the rest of your life.

  2. How about this one: Will hypnosis make me cluck like a chicken and walk around pretending to eat bugs like that girl who got hypnotized at my high school grad party?

CAPITAL LETTERS=YELLING in forums. Not MORE IMPORTANT. If I were to meet you at a party, and you wanted to tell me about your business (and something makes me thing you would tell me whether I wanted to hear it or not), would you do so by yelling? That's the equivalent of what you're doing here, and it's very off-putting to some.

You also still have yet to answer any questions posted on here about what are your qualifications to be teaching the classes you advertise. I mean, I don't want to come out of it and start clucking every time someone says the word "coffee" the rest of my life.

MASTERING SPAM WITH ALL CAPS!!!!!!!!! A FREE CLASS

People who normally use the internet are often mystified by self styled therapists who insist on screaming their headlines repeatedly even though there is no interest shown in the schemes they are pushing.
-Will you stop using all caps?
-Can you stop using all caps?
-Will you stop spamming the forums?

I checked all of this guy's posts and they're all spam. He doesn't participate in the discussions, he just pimps his classes. Is he even local?

My curiosity got the better of me and I checked out his bio on his website: www.americanhealthcarerevolution.com/bio.html#. Look at what hypnosis appears to have done to the woman sitting next to him in the photo!!

  11. "Look at what hypnosis appears to have done to the woman sitting next to him in the photo!!"

He sucked the life force out of her like the Skeksis did to the Podlings in the "Dark Crystal!"

  12. The title to one of his other classes:
    • Anger doesn’t need management or drugs

Uh, I'd say there are some abused spouses and notable celebrity types who could prove that theory wrong on both counts in a heartbeat!

I know we've been slamming this poor dude on here a lot, but it's hard not to when he posts such absurd and inflammatory things (over and over again) and then doesn't bother to answer questions or justify his position after doing so. The way he attempts to get his word out only undermines the efforts of the more legitimate people out there.

Geez....He even has a book on weight loss in his online store. Meanwhile, I see no certificates or accreditations on his site. Just a bunch of spouting off about the evils of modern medicine.

  15. Upon reading these posts, I am reminded of the reality that Americans elected an illiterate, psychotic to be its leader for eight years. Many of those same people then voted for a person who offered little but false hope to cure what had gone before him. The blind leading the blind, with little in the way of common sense or discernment. Much worse, nothing in the way of truth.
Note: the fact that I did not capitalize the word truth has nothing to do with trying to push its importance other than to recognize that you harp on such things instead of seeking its true meaning. As I don't suffer fools lightly, I must at least recognize the level of ignorance displayed. As for not answering questions (other than why I use caps):
    1. As explained previously, my life is an open book, having written an autobiography that tells it all without pulling any punches. It depicts my entire background. How many of you wise guys have done as much to reveal the true nature of your lives?
    2. My bio appears on my website for all to see.
    3. My website also contains numerous testimonials from people who came to me for help and received it. Their words explain exactly what they feel and think. You'll notice that they do not use caps as often as I do. Would that necessarily alter their opinions?
    4. For people who are so quick and thoughtless as to attack someone without firsthand knowledge - and then ask for credentials - is as absurd as railing on about his use of caps.
    5. You sound like a bunch of doctor-loving, pill-taking, long-suffering characters who have nothing to do but take pokes at someone who works damn hard at living and loving and creating and caring for people.
    6. Using this post/blog/forum - whatever it is - merely to spout your venom is cowardly and outrageous. Like a driver cursing and sticking his finger in the air and then driving off. He gets in the last word on his terms. Bravo!
    7. I've spent more than 44 years helping human beings deal with their problems and issues - and I and my family and friends are proud of it. And you know what? At the age of 73... I look more like 53, feel like 33, work out daily, box - Yeah! - and (here I go again) I TAKE NO PILLS, DON'T VISIT DOCTORS (An American pastime, like some participatory sport),
FEEL GREAT, AND I'M AS HAPPY AS I CAN BE. This I would put in bold caps - HOW MANY OF YOU CAN LOOK IN THE MIRROR (where you can't hide behind a blog) AND SAY THE SAME FOR YOURSELVES?!
    God love you all...
Have a great day. Make it a work of art....

You're trying to sell a service (and quite a few books). Therefore we have every right to ask about credentials.

  18. I think you summed up most people's reserve about you and your attitude perfectly: "...a person who offered little but false hope to cure what had gone before him. The blind leading the blind, with little in the way of common sense or discernment."

I shouldn't have to purchase your autobiography to find out what, if any, credentials you might have.

You bio says nothing about what schools you've attended, what degrees you've earned, what papers or scientific studies you base your hatred of Western medicine on.

Testimonials are worthless, especially when not backed up by any concrete data. One of them was actually scary and sounded like a true nut case. "I visited my mother to find her with scabs all over her arm. She thought bugs were in her arms and she picked at them for days. She was crying, hadn’t eaten, slept well, or ventured out of the house in days. I immediately explained to her that she was ‘trapped in her thoughts' and that her overwhelming problems were actually non-existent. Thank god she understood and snapped out of her funk within minutes of our conversation." Oh, sure. A woman with life-long addiction and mental issues suddenly sees the light because of your book! Do you truly not see how hard this is for others to believe?!!?

Most of your primary accomplishments seem to be in the 60's and 70's... whatcha been up to these last 30-40 years?

I'm glad that you're happy and healthy, and that you've found a system that works for you. Truly, I am. However, you seem to feel that your way is THE way, and the ONLY way that people should go. My Diabetic father would be dead without Doctors, same as my very healthy 90 year old Grandfather... he still needed a triple bypass. No amount of stretching, hypnosis, or other "feel-good" methodologies would change that.

Have we been a bit rough on you here, sure, but you make easy prey. You post something offensive and self-serving (Depression... it doesn't exist... come buy my book/classes) and then disappear. You're not even located in Ballard, you're on First Hill. Ballard for Ballard and all...

    Nickolas, here's a free tip.

If you refrained from attacking your potential customers, you might not be reduced to trolling internet forums for business like some slimy bottom-feeder.

Interestingly enough, nowhere in this "bio" does this person mention ANY college attended, degrees and/or certificates/licenses obtained. Any quack can put up a website and claim to be a "therapist" or "trainer." I am reminded of a classic Saturday Night Live sketch : "Badges? We don't need no steenking badges!" "Credentials? I don't need any stinking credentials!"

Why, yes, I am a doctor-loving person! I love my orthopeadeic surgeon for allowing me to walk in an upright manner, with full mobility of my limbs! Yes, I am a pill-loving person! Modern medicine has provided us with actual cures for various ailments! (see orthopeadeic surgery, above.) I love my GP! I also love my OBGYN! All in Ballard!

I would go to this nut-bar's classes right about the same time I would call a witch doctor for my sciatica.

Since when does the school of hard knocks give you the right to offer salvation? You expect us to have way too much faith in someone that is very defensive, secretive, and misleading. We have gone to the website and not learned anything about you.

This guy writes volumes of fluff. I went to his website and yes, there are plenty of testimonials. Big deal. Does anyone really believe testimonials. So I guess if we want to know his credentials we have to buy a biographical book about a guy that seems questionable by his unwillingness to give a background to see what his credentials are to see if we want to give him money and our time. I guess there are suckers. His website was the wordiest and yet least informative I have EVER seen.

I am starting my life coaching business and am accepting new clients. Red speedo is optional but bring the bling baby. Cuz I will at least tell you how I gathered my experience.

"At the age of 73... I look more like 53"

then talk about people not being able to look into a mirror?

I was feeling depressed, then I saw the photo of motorrads belly hanging over the red speedo with the gaudy bling and I snapped right out of it! I realize now that life is worth living and we gotta go out there and see new things. Next I may see mrs. motorrad in a purple thong overlapped by her boobs with a blingy ahnk!

While I steer clear of SSRIs and MAOIs and other things that tinker with brain chemistry that we don't fully understand, I echo Jules' sentiments. When my blood flow and nerves were being cut off by my shoulder tendonitis, not only was I all about being injected with sweet cortisone, but I doped up on painkillers too. At 7/10 on the pain scale, "breathing" may have helped some, but it wouldn't have gotten me the rest that the previous 1-2 weeks had robbed me of. And without cortisone to take the swelling down, well I would make a very inefficient typer with only one arm.

Hey Hey now! The belly isn't hanging OVER the speedo! You can see the whole thing. Glad I can help lessen someone's depression. Sadly there is no Mrs. M thus one of the reasons for my depression. But you described my veritable dream woman. The only thing missing is roller skates. The Ahnk was a very nice detail.
