Hello Ballard parents!
After receiving many positive comments on my baby's elf cap, I decided to work with the Icelandic mother and daughter team who makes the hats to bring them to Ballard.
The Icelandic people have a rich folkloric tradition regarding elves; they are a force of mischeif if crossed and friendly allies to those who respect and watch out for them. Margret, the daughter hat-maker, informs me that the elves have been known to sabatoge construction equipment that threatens their dwelling places. To avoid angering the neighborhood elves, Margret's very own apartment block was built around a large boulder said to be inhabited by them.
Margret and her mother have crafted a beautiful selection of hats in shades of dark blue, cyan, green, red wine, red-orange, pink and brown. There are sizes to fit newborn to about four year-old children. They are made in Iceland from the finest wool, and they are lined with viscose. Please contact me for available sizes, colors, and pictures!
These are very cheery little hats, and they are very popular in Reykjavík. I think they're the perfect thing to cheer up a bleary Ballard winter.
Thanks!

haha! Actually, BallardMike, the hats are shaped like an elf's, certainly not stolen from one. I wouldn't dare risk the retribution.
