Blew me outta bed, blew the cat under the bed and my heart rate hasn't quite returned to normal. That's one of the worst storms I can remember. Everybody okay?

And I just saw another flash! I must have jumped 2 feet off the coach as I was reading all the Forum topics of the weirdness going on around Ballard today.

I was absolutely riveted to the couch, watching all the pretty flashes and sheets of rain! A couple of those close ones made me jump pretty good!

I was just about asleep when that first thunder hit. I nearly fell out of bed. I grew up in Northern Minnesota and am used to
thunder storms but this one was so different. The thunder sounded like someone drop a bowling ball on top of my house.
Had I been a cat, I would have been under my bed. Our street was closed off because the power line was down. City Light
came around 11 PM to fix it.

Heck of a storm last night. I was able to peek through my headboard out the corner of the window and watch it all. But, that's not what I needed to get off my chest... how's this for insolence... while so many are mentioning their scared pets, my dog just up and got pissed off at me for allowing the disturbance. Instead of shaking at my feet, or better yet trying to protect me from the looming disaster, she got up from her spot on the bed, came over, kicked me in the head (those pointy little dog toes hurt) and then left for her room.

I know I shouldn't laugh at your pain, jubbjubb, but you painted a very hilarious image.
One cat (runt of the litter, normally the tough ones) nosed her way under the covers with me, the other cat (the big boy) was so freaked out he was running across the apartment like a startled elephant.
