Anyone hearing this? My cats are so freaked out! I have to admit that I'm also a bit freaked myself. Wow! More really loud thunder.

WOW! That thunder scared the heck out of me. I wasn't expecting it. All of the cats are hiding under my bed and the dogs are freaking out. Poor things.

Poor little things. Now it's pouring an I'm still hearing thunder. One of my kitties just came out of her hiding place. She seems so nervous.

We had flickering lights, but (crossing fingers) ok so far. Some good hail was going on out there too.

Thunderstorms are moving from Puget Sound to the Cascades for the rest of the night. Newscrawler reported on NBC during the Tonight Show. Reminds me of growing up in Texas.
Power still on here down by the Post Office.

Startled me almost as much as my dogs... and they usually couldn't care less when it comes to thunder! That hail was really coming down, too. My cat has gone into hiding and probably won't come out till morning. I got my crank flashlight/radio out just in case but since I recently moved here, I don't know what station to use in case there is an outage...

Power went out in North Seattle, but I don't know to what extent.

The storm woke me out of a dead sleep! The cats were watching, sitting well back from the windows. That was some Hollywood weather!

Thunder woke me up again this morning, though nothing like the stuff we had late last night. Just a few grumbles.

    What a surreal night!

That was amazing and very scary in an upstairs bedroom of an attic-less cottage! After living in condos and apts for last 10 yrs, and a basement before that, I never heard such racket. My cats went into super low-rider mode and hid between us on the bed. I can't believe how close the lightning was as well as the LOUD thunder. Oh my hell. Like Silver said, surreal. It was hard to get back to sleep!

Reminds me to get a power outage kit this weekend. I have no candles.

That was some of the loudest thunder I have ever heard. Husband was sitting in the living room and said the windows bowed out for a second or two. Both cats skedaddled for the safety of the basement. It sounded like a bomb went off right over the house.

Poor puppy was so scared he ran straight upstairs and took cover in the bathtub of all places! It was pretty cute though. Maybe he's attended some 1950's duck and cover style drills...

He couldn't even be coaxed out with treats, which for him, is REALLY saying something. First the guy he's boarding with is murdered while he's there, now he hears what I imagine sounds like more gunshots! We have no idea what he actually saw and heard, but he was way more shaken last night than 4th of July.

I went to bed early and I can't believe I missed this! Rain and wind woke me up a couple of times late, but I completely slept through the thunder.
