I have a ton of cookie cutters that I can not bring myself to throw away. They are not safe for use or are somewhat damaged. What I would love to see is them turned into a chandelier or some form of art to be hung/displayed in the store. If this is something that you could have fun with I am willing to supply the cutters and any other materials you might need. If interested you can either stop by the store or email me at cookiesballard@earthlink.net.

With all of the creative people on here, there has to be someone that likes to play around with metals. Do you have any friends that like to work with metal? I have boxes and boxes of them.

"Cookie Cutter Creations"..sounds like a great, fun project for somebody. Wish I had the space and inspiration to do something myself, but I currently have a self-imposed ban on bringing home any more "chick sh*t. Zap! Don't tempt me...hope you find a good home for your goodies. :-)

You should take some photos of your cookie cutters and use one for your avatar. :-)

I know, I haven't advanced that far yet to sit down and figure it out.

cookies - don't know if you were thinking about involving a pro, but I found a metal artist on http://www.seattleartists.com/main/active/listings.asp?Category=29 who has agreed to make something out of my ruined bicycle (I can't bear to toss it - too many memories attached, and want to turn something negative into something positive). No idea what it will cost yet, but maybe that's an option?

Thanks, I had posted it on Craigslist and got some responses. Mainly it was people wanting to just hang the cutters from an existing chandelier. I did have one artist come and offer a bid of $1200. That is wayyy out of what I could afford to spend. I haven't tried etsy yet either. I thought I would try here first.

Cookies, what about contacting one of the welding instructors in town - maybe that place in Fremont, or perhaps at Pratt Art Institute? They might have a student who would love to do something with them?

I haven't heard of Pratt Art Institute. I will look them up. Thanks.
I was hoping a student or someone that just like to putter around with metal might have some fun with it. If not there was someone from the Seattle Artist site that looked like he might be a good fit if he is not too expensive.Posted 3 years ago # -
Yes, it would be such a fun thing for someone who likes to putter with metal. Pratt Fine Arts Institute is the name, I think. They have metal sculpture classes there - I've not taken any, have taken jewelry making, and various oil painting classes. Fun place.
