Our indoor cat went missing yesterday (Thursday, 5/13) around 6pm-ish. She's a small Black Cat with a yellow/gold collar, and weights around 9 pounds.

She was lost around 9th Ave and 60th Street.

She is very shy and timid, but friendly. She also loves lying in the sun, so I'm hoping she will make her way out onto a lawn sooner or later.

Please call 206-388-9801 if you see her! Thanks!

She's still around - I found her hiding under our car and chased her down the street, but she disappeared. So it was good to know she is still around, but more frustrating to know that she's not as close to home as we'd hope. She's such a good hider (and black to boot) that it's hard to find her.

We're going to put up signs around the neighborhood tomorrow.

sorry to hear that she won't come back, jj. we've got two black indoor kitties and i know we'd be worried if they got out. one of them would LOVE to be an outdoor kitty, too...he'd be hard to convince to come home for sure.

    good luck!

drat, jj, very sorry to hear that. Your experience is what I fear - I have a couple very skittish cats, including an all black one - if they ever get out, I am convinced they will never come back and I will never be able to catch them. I'm lucky to even catch said black cat *inside the house* when it's time for a claw clipping or trip to the vet.

Time to call the cat finder folks? http://www.missingpetpartnership.org/

Someone might be able to help you trap your cat if you do spot her again?

    WE CAUGHT HER!!!

Notice we didn't find her - we caught her. She was under the neighbor's car!

It was a freak intersection of my neighbor starting his car, the hailing rain was pouring down, and I was breaking down boxes in our carport for the recycling bin. A huge 4-yard chase ensued, and eventually we got her back under the original car. We had 4 people in that carport surrounding her, and my wife was the one to catch her when she made a run for it.

A special thanks to all the neighbors who put up with me searching through their yards for the past few days!
