   Hey--Did anyone hear multiple gunshots last nigh around 1:15 a.m. in the Sunset Hill area? I live on 64th--near 32nd, and I heard several gunshots, followed up a few minutes later by a ton of sirens. Kind of freaked me out. I didn't know if anyone knew anything about it...Thanks!

   I heard the sounds as well, I assumed (hoped) it was just fireworks. I didn't hear the sirens (up on 77th and 32nd), but I did hear a car "speed off"... Cars are speeding off all the time though... so after I checked 911 real time.. I figured either they missed.. or just fireworks..

   If you haven't used 911 real time... it's a handy tool...

   SHCoco - I heard it on the scanner last night. They had several people call in to report hearing shots fired. It sounded like one of the callers really knew what he was talking about - the dispatcher said that he reported hearing one shot from a (I *think* he said 45 caliber) followed by 5 shots from a smaller caliber weapon.

   Lots of police cars headed to the area and there was a description of car given that may have been related. Don't know if they found anything. I fell asleep. ;-(

   Thanks for all the info! I know..I heard two shots, one a few mins after the other...And I know nothing about guns, but they didn't sound like big ones. :) Anyway, not the best way to wake up, but I did fall back asleep too. :) Hope it wasn't serious. Thanks, Roland, for the info on 911 real time!
