   At first this seemed silly and another waste of our tax dollars, but then I read the article, and well, at this point anything could help Ballard's crime. There is a meeting tomorrow evening with an expert on crime prevention thru design....

   I wonder what they'll say about backyard lighting.

   At a meeting I attended with one of those 'crime prevention officers' who recently lost their job, I was told to keep my backyard dark so it doesn't look so inviting from the street. apparently illuminating your stuff attracts burglars and such.
