I rarely look at MyBallard in the evening. I mostly check in during breaks in work, esp. when I am working from home and need contact with living beings other than cats. It seems like most of the inflammatory stuff goes on in the evening when people may be a bit liquored up and the brain to hand edit is not working. Or when kids are in their rooms supposedly doing their homework.

I have learned lots of useful things about my neighborhood and beyond here. I have occasionally laughed out loud at some of your quips. I don't know what went on last night - I am not seeing anything I would call a public flogging, so I am guessing it got pulled. But I hope some of the thoughtful posters will not leave, but perhaps not look at the forum when irresponsible people are using it.

Please don't go Cate :-) I rarely post except for threads related to animal issues. Last night I did a little lurking and I am puzzled as to what brought that whole situation on. It could have been considered libelous. True or not, this is not the forum for such things. I am glad it was taken down. And unfortunately, the participants were regular posters. ??? What the wha???

Just now read some of this, bad, real bad... being snarky is one thing but this last exchange carries it a little too far... the whole unicorn/ST stalk/back and forth BS needs to be toned down bigtime in my opinion, and I think that is shared by most of the MBers I have read... Cate, please don't leave us, you are one of the bright spots of this forum.
Pennygirl, you, Edog, Iplod, Streaker, several others that I will not name need to go out and get shitfaced and talk it out. Get a designated driver or maybe on off- duty NO.17SunsetHill to get you home ;)

Really? Really, seriously? This is just a public forum, right? Sticks & stones and all that stuff. Good thing cate isn't one of those rapper dudes that have the little in-your-face war-of-words things; imagine if whatever went on was face-to-face (you know, like in the real world). Or, imagine if an attorney had her under cross; the things they say and ask make anything that goes on here child's play. Good thing they've got the fence up on the Aurora Bridge.

Just for the record, if anyone felt the need to suggest that my wife was slutting it up and getting VD; or that my mom was a whore; or that my cooking skills suck; or that they want to beat me about the head with a bat; or that I'm a useless, horrible excuse for a human being & that I should do myself in; or that I'm a liar & a cheat; or whatever else you can come up with that's ok. If you're right, you're right. If you're wrong I might offer a little correction. And, if it's plain libelous, so what -- what's posted here, positive or negative, is just talk; opinions & assertions that really are not subject to proof in this arena.

That said, I would love to see the full text of last night's back and forth; nothing like watching a good train wreck.
