This just happened: I heard a crash at 15th Ave NW and NW Market. A white pickup truck with a canopy sped away northbound on 15th with it's horn stuck on. A few seconds later a police car followed after him.

A minute or two later I hear on the scanner that police have witnessed a truck roll over at 65th and 15th. I can hear the same horn blaring in the background.

Fire is on the way to both accidents. The suspect driver will be tested to see if he or she was driving impaired and will be cited for hit and run.

I heard the crash on 15th and Market, and the horn too. Was wondering why it went quiet so quickly.

Just drove past it. The truck is on its side nearly leaning against a pole near the bus stop. There was no ambulance there and overall didn't seem to have resulted in injuries that I could see.

I have to drive right past it going home so I'll let you know if there's anything else to report.

Silver... both fire calls for those two incidents are already listed as closed. Must not have been that bad?

it's all done - there's only a single police car for traffic, the totaled truck and the tow truck guy left.

I was 1/2 block north on 15th at the time of the crash, saw it happen. Cops were on the car 3 seconds later, driver-side cop looked like he had a gun or taser drawn, other cop looked like he had a flashlight held overhead. I couldn't really tell... We figured if there was a gun drawn, we didn't want to sit around and watch so we went down 65th.

Cory, of the Geeky Swedes, has the story up on the front page now, complete with pictures! Sorry to get you out of the house on such a chilly night, Cory!

Yes, it sure seems like it could have been a lot worse, doesn't it? I hope we get more info about the suspect, like why he ran. I also hope the person that was hit will be alright.
