    Hello,

Please keep your eyes out for a 2002 silver 4-door Lincoln stolen from my driveway last night near West Woodland Elementary. Hopefully it was dumped in the neighborhood and not too damaged.

    Thank you!

When my brother's car was stolen a few years back, it was found in West Seattle. The police told him that it was a common thing for theives to use the 15th Ave./Hwy 99 corridor to shuttle back and forth. So, you may want to keep an eye out on that side of the bay as well. Good luck.

My neighbor's Honda ended up in Lynnwood with what he said was the exact number of additional miles from his driveway to the dump area. His "club" was still on the floor of the car, right where he left it. GN, hope you get your car back soon.

My stolen car ended up in Maple Leaf.

Sooo sorry to hear about your car. Did you hear it leave?

FYI, there is an abandoned / stolen / dumped car in the parking lot next to the gas station @ 8th & Market. Been wrecked and license plates missing. It was there last week and is still there this week. Its dark green, a newer model.

Gilman Girl - if you call the police they can come out and check out this car. They can check the VIN number if plates missing and see if it is stolen.

One of my coworkers had her car stolen between Belltown and Pike Place Market, they found it early the next morning in the Target parking lot @ S'Center. They even put in a new air freshener - only thing stolen out of it was her sweatshirt.

GN - hope your car has a similar experience!

Now...why can't all thieves be that conscientious?...or elected?

Mine was found on top of Capitol Hill sadly full of other peoples' stolen sports gear. Was found after four or five days when a parking officer went to write up a warning for it being parked in one place too long. I hope yours is found as quickly.

My Integra was stolen from in front of our Phinney Ridge house in 2007. I got a police call the next morning before I'd even noticed it was missing; they had found it dumped in Edmonds and completely stripped. The insurance company totaled it. After that we got better alarms and always parked in the garage or driveway.

I hope you fare better with yours. There may not be the same kind of parts market for Lincolns as there apparently is for some Honda, Toyota and Acura models. Good luck!

My co-worker had an even better stolen car experience. Something like 6 months later, the truck turned up with a new and better canopy, nice wheels, a better radio, and a full tank of gas. The only bad thing was that he had bought a new car in the meantime.
