It takes real nerve to make a fried chicken joke in 2011. SPG I did not think it was even possible for you to be a bigger douchenut until I saw that so I am asking for an apology.

Tiegyr and Pennygirl going on and on and on about "hillbillies" and people who use double coupons or buy boxed wine is unfunny, mean and pathetic. Especially when other posters on the topic are talking about the stigma of food stamps.

But SPG adding fried chicken jokes to his standard homeless bashing routine is truly sickening.

For a frame of reference, can post a link to SPGs offense? I missed it.. Or are you one of these Seattle Honkeys who gets bent out of shape when someone says "fried chicken"? Because you read about African Americans in a book once.

Where does SPG bash the homeless? What are you talking about? SPG is one of the rational and more nuanced voices on that subject, given posts over a spectrum of time. There are much, much more strident, intolerant, one sided voices on that subject in this forum than anything SPG has put out there. Please be specific in your statement if you can.

You are missing the reference to a thread from ages ago, where the Holman Rd QFC in the faraway lands to the North and its clientele were discussed, in a less than positive light. Teigyr and I are regular customers at said QFC, so we are actually making fun of ourselves.

Get yer facts right before you start slinging mud pal.

Double coupons was way back when and not even in this state. I USED them...and I have purchased boxed wine before. I'm not sure if I did it at QFC but PG and I are proud hillbillies north of 85th. And dang, I bought fried chicken the other day.

If you're going to insult me, couldn't you at least spell my name right? Or are you being racist somehow? Is this a code word?

Edited to say I am eating THE best piece of red velvet cake ever. Now, decipher the code please :)

Enlightened1 - if you are referring to SPG's post in the QFC topic I think SPG was replying to my post asking if anybody wanted anything if I went to QFC! At that time my avatar was a chicken wearing an apron that said "I love vegans" on it.
And vegan is code for "Very Excited Gremlins Acting Nice"

VB, I'm not sure we're allowed to talk about Gremlins. You're not being sensitive to their need to be inobtrusive and by stating they are only "acting" nice infers that they are not actually nice. I think you should be brought up on the same charges as the rest of us :)

Even if SPG were using racist code words is that any worse than being a narcissistic, self-righteous, pompous, holier-than-thou, unenlightened, ignorant, name-calling whining, windbag? Really, in this day and age I figured we'd evolved beyond that. At least a racist or a sexist is fun to laugh at. E1 is just taking up valuable oxygen by virtue of its existance, and that, my friends, is the truly offensive component of this thread.

I hate everybody the same.

My granddad used to say that one.

There are few others I heard growing up which I definitely can't repeat.

As to SPG..

Spurious (yes) Pugnacious (yes) Guy (probably) but racist? I highly doubt it.

Enlightened one has show again that light headedness is not necessarily a good thing. It might just mean it's full of air.
