    The Ballard Bed
Put rot in the past with a bed that lasts.

While it’s claimed that traditional cedar beds last 10–15 years, most begin failing within five years, completely crumbling in ten. Seattle rains will do that—moisture constantly contacting wood (even cedar) is a rot bomb waiting to happen—forcing gardeners to repair or replace their collapsing eyesores again, again, and again. Now there’s a better, locally-made, and long-lasting option.

The Ballard Bed is the attractive and functional alternative to traditional cedar construction:

    • 100% galvanized, bolted metal interior
    • Treated wood exterior frames
    • Modern design, strong, and lightweight
    • Custom sizes available up to 8 feet (7×1, 6×2, 5×3, 4×4, etc.). All beds are 12” high.
    • Proudly handmade in Ballard, Seattle’s greatest neighborhood
    • $250 with FREE delivery within Ballard (no $$$ shipping fee, no assembly required)

Removal (not disposal*) of old beds/installation of new beds: $25.

The warmth of wood, the durability of galvanized metal. Fight the elements with an attractive, long-lasting bed custom built for your garden and delivered right to your Ballard home. Contact Mark at:

*Seattle residents can easily dispose of old beds in two ways: (1) untreated, unpainted wood (nails/screws removed) goes in the yard waste bin; (2) treated/painted wood (nails/screws safely hammered flat) goes in your regular garbage can. If you’re unsure, I can tell you which you have.
