Thanks, everyone (and bonus points to the long-winded and very helpful Phoo).

I’m pretty sure my current mattress came from Seattle Mattress, though at the time they had a showroom in Sodo that I visited. I knew they were no longer on 24th, and hadn’t even noticed they are on 15th now (and I don’t even text when I drive!). I’ll be proud to own a(nother) “Made In Ballard” mattress.

I don’t know if credit unions other than BECU can use the network at 7-Elevens, but it is sure convenient. In NYC the network is in all McDonalds, for those keeping score.

I’ve always found “real” parking in NYC (when I even drove – LOVE the subway!). Even if people are used to it, I don’t want to behave in a disrespectful way. Kharma’s been good to me, so why rock the boat, eh?

It’s not a big deal for those doing the blocking. Those being blocked might beg to differ.

Blocking a driving lane because you’re unwilling to park legally is pretty much the definition of “special snowflake”.

Which is why I use the ATM at 7-Eleven if I am in my car. Free parking, no ATM fee and I don’t need to park like a jerk snowflake.

I bow my head in shame that I keep running the new stop signs at 58th. My brain, when faced with the contradiction of a stop sign and a traffic circle, defaults to traffic circle rules and before I know it I’m running a stop sign. Am I the only one that finds that combination odd?

I think that is an east coast thing

…and people wonder why there’s a Seattle freeze against outsiders…

Vegan: I believe most of the spammers these days are bots. So, nope, they don’t have anything better to do. Ain’t tech grand?

Thanks, Rudy. Ocho seemed wrong, and I knew it wasn’t the travel place.

    (we’re still not indenting, huh?)

I’m reminded of when someone plowed into Ocho (was it Ocho then? I think it was) and they posted a sign that they were closed while they repaired their drive-through.

Thank goodness the injuries are minor this time.

Can I please never have to use the words “this time” for this subject again???

We no longer can indent replies. It was nice while it lasted.

Trying to reply to RacerX again…

OK…why aren’t the replies indenting now?

    Hmm…so why didn’t this indent?

Edited: and why did this, intended to be an edit to my last post, end up replying to another? Might by slopping keying.

Edited again: And now it’s moved to the bottom. Hold still, dammit!

    Oh, sorry. Rephrasing:

They can park in the crosswalk if they want

Edited to add: I LOVE the indented replies!!!!
