Isn’t Nextdoor Ballard also run by the Geeky Swedes?

I use Chef Choice knife sharpening machine, which does a great job sharpening kitchen knives. Very easy to use and it wasn’t that expensive.

Can you foster him a bit longer? I have a feeling that if word gets out in Ballard, someone will want the rascal.

Wish we could adopt him however our senior cat would be really upset. Hope Wildman finds a great home here in Ballard.

Kemly Electric, located in Ballard. We always call them for electrical work and the prices seem fair and the work is excellent.

Sent email to you this a.m., just sent another one. Ms. Ballard’s dog is gorgeous-think we’ve seen them in our neighborhood.

Portlock salmon. Bartells and other stores sell it in attractive boxes and it is not that expensive.

You might contact Canvas Supply or Mac’s Upholstery and ask if they know someone who could fix the chairs.

I recall years ago it was George Louie’s restaurant and there is a different restaurant at that location now near 14th on 85th. That would be across 85th from Walgreens. Crown Hill Stationery was on the corner of 15th and 85th.

Pennygirl, that is wonderful! There is a crow that likes to hang out by our backyard and if bread is tossed to the ground, he/she alerts her comrades about the free lunch.

What about Tater Tot casserole? That always seemed like a Midwest/comfort food kind of thing. Basically ground beef, cream of mushroom soup and Tater Tots.

I want to get a new cell phone with no contract and nothing super fancy. I’d want an inexpensive prepaid plan where the cards can be purchased in a Ballard area store. It is all very confusing. Safeway has a display with Tracphone and Net10-which apparently are owned by the same company. Not good experiences with a previous Tracphone in the past due to communication difficulties with customer service. I’ve heard good and bad things about Sprint, AT&T, TMobile and Verizon. Any suggestions?

McIntosh glass to replace the broken pane. Not sure if they replace French doors.

Angeline-very true. Our former dogs were terminally ill and were euthanized by our vet at home. I don’t think I could handle seeing this done at a vet. office in a cold sterile setting. Saying goodbye to the dear companions while we were in their favorite parts of the yard caused all of us less stress.

No lilies or tulips in this house because the cat has tried to chew the leaves in the past. Be very careful re: wisteria branches. A family dog died years ago because she grabbed a wisteria branch from the compost pile and chewed it. She started acting sick and was rushed to the vets, but they couldn’t save her. We didn’t know the cause of her illness until we got home from the vets and found the partially chewed branch.

Gracie, thanks for checking. If anyone finds out her last name or phone number please post it. One family member in particular said “I don’t trust anyone but Elena to cut my hair”.

Anyon know Elena (formerly of Supercuts) last name? Suspect she might be doing haircuts from home now as she is “retired” from Supercuts. There are about 10 Elenas who are cosmetologist listed. She was originally from Romania. She always did a great job on haircuts for members of our family.

Our pup would love a dog buddy, but unfortunately our home is not big enough. Hope you are able to find a great home for Abbey soon. She sounds like a great dog.

We took our pets to Dr. Hilmoe for years and years. Then a vet friend started doing house calls so she now takes care of our pets. If our friend was not available, we would definitely take the pets to Dr. Hilmoe. She is kind, compassionate and an excellent veterinarian.

If I understood what our vet said, the chip is still registered and active. The annual fee thing is to do the ads/alerts if the animal were to get lost.

The dog was microchipped with 24petwatch and we got a renewal notice a year later. I showed it to the vet who said not to worry. The dog has a Seattle license and the Spay Neuter clinic took down her microchip number when she was spayed.
